HUNGER & HOMELESSNESS

COOKING AT THE BRISBEN CENTER

Several times each year, the chapter purchases food and members gather at the Brisben Center, our local homeless shelter, to cook and serve a meal.

MEALS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS

Chapter members work with our local Disabled American Veterans chapter to prepare and serve breakfast to homeless veterans.

SUPPORTING SENIORS

What age defines a person as a senior? We have seen it as anywhere between 50 & 70. Through our contributions and volunteering, we think our chapter works to support people of all ages.

SENIOR VISITOR PROGRAM

We have a close working relationship with our local Senior Visitors program. We volunteer at their events and contribute goods and funds toward their initiatives. We promote their activities and we are a sponsor for their annual picnic and Holiday Luncheon. In addition, we encourage our members to join the program, as volunteers and as recipients of services.

THE HOLIDAY PROJECT

We work with The Holiday Project to organize holiday visits to residents at Carriage Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center. We bring small gifts and needed attention and companionship to people who often have few other visitors.
